When did you start painting?

’96-ot írtunk, mikor az akkoriban még menő damilos tekerős puma disc cipőmben a betont taposva eldöntöttem, hogy már pedig én graffitis leszek. 😀 Persze eszemben nem volt még akkor, hogy egy rajzot bárhová is feltegyek. Minden jött a maga sorrendjében. 1 éven keresztül csak tegelgettem (tegelgettünk). Soha nem gondoltam volna, hogy ez később az életem részévé fog válni. Össze-vissza írogattam mindenféle katyvasz neveket. ’98 lehetett talán az az év, mikor megcsináltam az első rajzomat, egy kukatárolóra. Az első festésem volt, de majdnem az utolsó is egyben. Azért mondom, hogy az utolsó is, mert nagyon hideg tél volt és úgy lefagyott az ujjam, hogy teljesen elhalt az új végem! A mai napig így nyomom be a capet, hogy nem érzek vele semmit..! 😀

Where did the stage name come from?

A művésznév, amit a mai napig festek az nem egy kitalált név. Akkoriban szerettünk a haverokkal bmx-el hasítani, görkorizni meg deszkázni (valójában ekkor alakult meg a kru is, ha már úgyis mindig együtt lógtunk, akkor miért ne legyen egy csoport nevünk is). Szóval mivel állandóan gurulgattunk valamerre, ezért kihagyhatatlan volt az is, bújtam a vhs kazettákat, amin híres külföldi gördeszkások voltak. Ott volt egy ha jól emlékszem Los Angeles-i fazon, aki egy versenyen lépett fel. Az ő beceneve volt Grinó! Megtetszett és attól a naptól már ketten voltunk. 😀 Persze én sosem tanultam meg úgy gördeszkázni mint ő. 😀

How did your style develop, how would you call it?

When I started I didn't really have a style! I put the letters back together next to each other, not noticing that they didn't fit together at all. To be honest, I still haven't found my true style. I like older drawings, I'm a real old school fan and I want to continue this in my drawings! But if I had to say it in a few words, it would be: simple and clean, sometimes a little crazy with something extra, say a simple character. 

Who or what inspires you the most?

Today, I am only inspired by the past, and to be able to paint for the people who like it!..

Is there a graffiti group you are a member of?

Természetesen van. És ez a D.L.S kru! 96-ba alakult és 99 re már 15-en voltunk benne, de úgy igazán csak 8-an voltunk aktivak. ( OSER-SNAK-KORS-TES-BONE-LOONIE-SELLY és én ) Nagyon sajnálom, hogy mára már csak én tartom a frontot! De ez teljesen érthető. Családos emberek lettek és ez már nem fér bele az életükbe!! A mai napig így is írom a crew nevet, szinte minden rajzom mellet feltüntetem. Mára csak ezzel tudom megköszönni nekik azt a sok évet, amit együtt töltöttünk. Amikor kiírom, hogy DLS, akkor nem én írom ki, hanem Mi! 😀 Szinte minden rajzomnál, amit manapság csinálok, még ha csak gondolatban is, de ott vannak és támogatnak!!.

Illegal or legal painting?

Is-is mert mind a kettőnek meg van a feelingje! Egyre többet legálozom, de nem vetem meg az illegált sem!! 😀 De ha már illegál, akkor sem a belvárost fogom megtámadni! Természetesen imádtam a 90-es évekbeli belvárost, hogy nem volt olyan felület, ami ne lett volna széttegelve vagy throw up-ozva! Mostanra már nem úgy látom ezt. Én sem 20 éves vagyok már és biztos nem fog tetszeni sok writernek, de inkább így szeretem “tisztán” látni a várost. Természetesen a megrendelésre készült falakat szeretem! Ebből kéne rengeteg és belátni végre, hogy így is lehet színesebbé varázsolni a világot! De amíg a csőlátású drága polgáraink a firkákat és a művészi rajzokat, egy kalap alá veszik, (ami hála égnek egyre kevesebb), addig ezt nehéz megvalósítani.

Over the years, have you had any confrontations with the authorities?

Hu-hu. Ezt a kérdést most muszáj volt? 😀 Persze, hogy volt! Aki komolyan gondolja és bevállal húzósabb spotokat, annak idővel biztosan lesznek gondjai! (több is) 😀

What inspired you in the past and what motivates you now?

The inspiration that made me start is this in short: SDO. I saw it everywhere I went. It really suited me, but I couldn't place who they were and how they were there in so many places. I think they were inspiring to many… And not because of the quality, but because of the quantity. There were some of them who made beautiful darts. To this day, I don't see such elaborate darts every now and then. What motivates me now, I could only say in two words. I simply love it! That's it!! I like to paint, mostly alone, but sometimes with others. We live in a pretty stressful world these days! It's good to forget about it in those few hours while you're creating.

Do you see graffiti as a hobby or a livelihood?

As a hobby, but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes take on orders that fit into my time. I work just like any normal person. Many people asked me if I wanted to make a living from painting instead? It is certain that there is still a lot of development to be done. I'm never satisfied, but maybe that's just the way it is. On the other hand, I think that if my hobby were to become my job, I am afraid that it would all lose its charm.

There are quite expensive financial costs for creating a single drawing. How can you finance these?

Of course, a drawing consisting of several colors is not cheap. I work, so I always know how much I can allocate for this. If I take orders, there are usually quite a few cans left! 

Was there a part of your career that made you feel like you were quitting for good?

There was, but not because of the boredom of the desire to create. I don't like to talk about this, because the past cannot be undone! I was by no means a model child to be proud of. There were times when the devils kidnapped me and led me into evil. I'm not proud of it, but looking back I have to say I still enjoyed every minute of it! It will sound bad, but there is something good in every bad thing! My life has always been fast-paced, and if I live the retirement age online and remember these things, I will only smile! It is not always a good thing to tell people anything about yourself! We judge and things would backfire differently. Today I am a different person and those who know me know it. I will tell you that it is completely different to watch a movie and imagine yourself in the role, or to actually experience it. The last time I stopped was in 2010, when my partner was escorted to a slightly cooler place! I started painting again in 2016, when my daughter was born and I painted her name. There, the feeling caught me again and I have been painting ever since.

What would have happened if you didn't grab a can at the time? What would you do?

Back then, my life would have been the same as it is today, I can only imagine that there would be a little sense of absence!:)

What do you think about graffiti?

I don't mean this specifically about graffiti, but about all creative activities, that it is a gift to humanity.

How do you see the current situation of the subculture here in Hungary?

This is an interesting question...many say that it is on the decline and many that it is on the rise! It is difficult to declare the result in this matter. If I compare it to the past (what everyone already calls it), it has improved a lot. (but now there is room for improvement). A lot of people spin legally, which is a good thing, because the drawings are varied! You can see new faces on the walls-trains. However, the illegal part has greatly decreased!

Most memorable blowout?

Mivel rengeteg festésen vagyunk (vagyok )túl, ezért nagyon sok negatív, pozitív és emlékezetes storym van. De ha ki kell emelnem egyet, akkor egyet elmesélek, amire biztosan fogok emlékezni mindig!! 😀  14-es villamos első kocsijában ültem az egyik kru társammal. Elég sokan voltak a villamoson, mert ez kb. kora délután történt. Egy idősebb hölgy ült velem szembe. Valami oknál fogva elkezdtünk beszélgetni és szóba jött ,hogy a mai fiatalok mindent összefirkálnak. Egy gyors kacsintás után, belementünk a játékba. Mert miért is ne? 😀 Jó fiú módjára tettem alá a lovat, hogy ezt én sem értem meg! Miért kell ezt csinálni?! Teljesen beloptam magamat a nénike szívébe. 😀 Egy megálló volt hátra, ahol a tervek szerint le kellett szállnunk. Felálltam és oda mentem a vezetőfülkéhez. Kivettem a táskámból egy hőálló ezüstöt és egy maestro vörös szint. Fentről lefelé haladva, csináltam egy gyorsrajzot a fülkére, miközben a villamos vezető a többszörös hátranézésével jelezte, hogy hagyjam abba! Pont annyi időm volt, hogy be tudtam fejezni! Kinyíltak az ajtók és leszálltunk. Azért az egyik legemlékezetesebb kis akció volt, mert valószínűleg az idős néni sem fogja ezt elfelejteni soha, aki szemében egy mintagyerek voltam, pár perc beszélgetés után!  (Üzenem neki, SORRY a csalódásért) 😀

What has this subculture given you over the years?

Lots of acquaintances and friends. Many beautiful and good memories connected to the culture. What you love to do always gives you something! At the moment, the desire to create. I have never been able to live like many others, to do the same thing all the time in monotonous boredom and leave nothing behind. It's not my world!

What would you say to those who are just getting to know the genre?

One thing for sure! Everyone should decide for themselves whether they really want to do this or not! If so, then he does it in such a way that when he later looks back on the little film of his life, he will be proud of what he left behind for the world!!. Don't get me wrong! I don't consider myself a good graffiti artist!! I had to go a long way to be able to present an acceptable drawing, which many others pull out of their little fingers!. But time works for me and if I can always add just a little to the previous drawings, I will be happy! It is reassuring that a perfect drawing does not exist!!.:)

Mindenkinek aki buzdít és tetszenek a rajzaim. Természetesen a volt kru társaknak és Ozennek, aki nekem egy példakép volt! Idővel megismertem őt személyesen is és azóta is tartjuk a kapcsolatot. (Respect neki!) Nem hagynám ki az Újpesti ultrákat sem, mert egész Európában egyre elterjedtebb lett az Ultra graffiti, ami ugyan úgy a kultúra része!!!! 🙂
