Bitcoin is the civilised monetary revolution

2025. Aug. 9. | Web3

People are realising that simply owning Bitcoin makes you empowered and independent of banks, institutions and states. Self-sufficient communities can emerge, exchanging value, services and goods through decentralised systems. Peer-to-Peer. No third party is needed.

This would be the Bitcoin its true purpose - not at the technological level, but in social, economic and philosophical terms.

The monetary singularity beginning

A point where the traditional intermediaries - banks, states, financial regulators - lose their monopoly over value creation and value movement.

If the population recognises that:

  • Bitcoin is not just a speculative tool, it is monetary freedom,
  • the central bank itself, if holds your private keys,
  • and that value exchange does not require an intermediary,

then truly self-sufficient, sovereign communities can emerge.

Some cornerstones of this new era:

1. Peer-to-peer economy (P2P)

  • Buy, exchange, service directly.
  • Lightning Network or other L2 solutions → fast, cheap transactions.
  • No need for a bank account, SEPA, SWIFT.

2. Decentralised identity (DID)

  • Individuals are the custodians of their own "digital citizenship".
  • Reliability without institutions: reputation NFTs, ZK identification, DID with wallet.

3. Tokenised services

  • Energy communities (e.g. solar → token), water, food, education.
  • DAOs run the local ecosystem.

4. Open finances - DeFi

  • Loan, insurance, savings → not a bank, but a protocol.
  • Public finances are conducted on a transparent, unregulated network.

The state is in a dilemma:

If the population becomes self-sufficient financially and technologically, the state can do two things:

1. It reacts in a repressive way:

  • Tilt, tax, block, regulate.
  • But: it will slow down, but not stop the process.
Bitcoin

2. Act as a partner:

  • It recognises sovereignty and supports communities.
  • From a central role to a coordinating role.
  • Create your own Bitcoin reserve - because it knows that the future is built around it.

People are not fleeing the system, but build a new system and stay therebecause they can finally shape.

The value of Bitcoin lies in the network itself

Throughout history, the value of money has never been determined by its material composition alone, but rather by the shared trust and social agreement that made the exchange of value possible. Bitcoin fits into this history spanning thousands of years—in a new, digital form. For the first time in history, Bitcoin enables millions of people to operate a shared financial network without central control.

Bitcoin – Mi volt Satoshi valódi zsenialitása?

Bitcoin – What Was Satoshi's True Genius?

Bitcoin didn’t appear out of nowhere in 2008, but was the result of a long intellectual journey. And perhaps this is where the figure of Satoshi becomes more human: not a mystical genius, but someone who recognized what others had previously seen only in isolation. His genius may not have been a new invention, but rather a realization. Satoshi did not build the financial system of the future alone; rather, he recognized how the work of others fit together.

Nick Szabó öröksége – A Bit Goldtól a Bitcoinig

The Legacy of Nick Szabó – From Bit Gold to Bitcoin

One of the most important figures in this story is a computer scientist and cryptographer of Hungarian descent: Nick Szabó. The history of Bitcoin is often centered around a single name: Satoshi Nakamoto. Although he did not write the Bitcoin white paper, nor did he launch the Bitcoin network, many view him as the person who was already thinking about the same problems years before Satoshi.
