This year it was held for the 4th time Live Street Art Érd festival, where the general public was entertained with concerts, various workshops, extreme sports demonstrations and live painting.
In 2017, the first Live Street Art (LSA) was held on an experimental basis, where the event closed with an audience of a few hundred people. And by 2019, it had grown into a major city event attended by more than 4,000 people. The Érdies welcomed the genre of graffiti in the city with an open and enthusiastic attitude that surpassed all expectations. Thanks to the event, the writers were able to beautify several underpasses, and the Rough Coloring Crew his team.
"We wanted to create an unusual new event in the city. One of our colleagues suggested that it be something related to contemporary fine art. Gaben3000, stage name Peru, has been a pillar member of the organizing team since the beginning, in addition to the event, he also managed the decorative painting of several city pedestrian underpasses, and this year, in connection with the event, he also managed to put together a solo exhibition in the cultural center in Érd, and a mini creative camp in Százhalombatta as part of a joint tender with the institution . For a long time, he was looking for the possibility of cooperation with the city in the graffiti-street art line.
The solution gave itself, so it was a kind of fateful, classic meeting of supply and demand. Also, at the time, a friend of mine who worked in cultural anthropology wrote her master's degree, in which she examined the community development opportunities arising from the interactions between subcultures and mainstream society, in which I was an interviewee (because of a completely different subculture). The theory was interesting and could be adopted for this specific case, so the first event can also be considered a professional experiment.
- says Katalin Wolf, the main organizer of the event.
The most important goal of the event is to bring everyday people closer to graffiti, not only to the works themselves, but to the community-subculture, so that they can see that it is now a contemporary art form, not necessarily an act of vandalism to be criminalized. We can also see the event as a kind of canonization process.
The backbone of the event is one creative application where the finalists can create their works live within the framework of the event on the main square of Érd, which is complemented by other interactive programs (sports, community creation, etc.) and, of course, live music concerts, so that the event can reach as many people as possible and be visited by more people.
This year's event it was practically a replacement for the event that was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The creators have a 3×2 meter built OSB wall for live painting, as well as for presenting their work ALL CAPS they had at their disposal the Loop Colors spray paint sold by the store.
The theme of the Live Street Art Érd 2021 creative competition:
ISOLATION vs. COMMUNITY
The man is a social being. Communal existence is the basis of our civilization. The key to our survival and ascension is the ability to think in groups and collaborate effectively. Due to the closures following the outbreak of the 2020 pandemic, hundreds of millions of people were forced to stay away from their loved ones, companions, and friends. The usual public spaces were closed, and curfews were introduced in most places. This life situation was unknown to most of us until now. We had to reacquaint ourselves with solitude, confinement and being alone. 2020 has become the year of anxiety. How did you survive - or rather, how did you survive this isolation?
Show us in a picture what you think about this global crisis!

The restrictions on events were unfortunately reflected in this year's attendance. Roughly 2,000 people participated in the entire duration of the event, which is half the attendance compared to 2019.

I would like to organize the festival again next year, which of course requires the support of the city of Érd, not only financially, but also to continue providing a home for this event.
