The year 2020 was special for everyone. For Fat Heat, it was because the missed trips gave him the opportunity to create images in a studio setting. This type of methodology confronted him with completely different challenges than the firewall-painted roads. It gave him a chance to escape and served as therapy in the monotony. Some of his paintings respond to the pandemic loneliness experienced in big cities and the virtual crowd of social media.

I was lucky enough to participate in a mini graffiti jam at the beginning of May, where quite a few members of the RCG crew marched to the legal wall in Filatorigat. It is a very harmonious team, they exude cheerfulness and directness. The team is very diverse, everyone creates in a different style, but when they come together for a joint painting, the end result is a uniform, demanding work.

Since July of this year, another giant painting has been decorating the facade of the Fire Department on Károly körút, which was created at the initiative of the Colorful City Group and courtesy of Budapesti Városarculati Nonprofit Kft. (BVA). With the painting, they wanted to respond in their own way to the curfew restrictions introduced due to the Covid 19 epidemic that is defining the entire world, its global scale, the whole surreal life situation, but they also wanted the work to focus on the positive parts of it all.
